13 Feb 2023
Aston Martin have unveiled the car that they hope will help them up the leaderboard in the 2023 Formula 1 season.
Aston Martin F1 has now unveiled its 2023 car livery, featuring their signature AM racing green livery with splashes of lime yellow. The vibrant colour scheme pays homage to the team's rich racing history and is designed to evoke a sense of speed and energy.
Speaking at the launch event, Fernando Alonso said that he was optimistic for the season ahead: "from January I've been here in the factory, in simulator session and meeting new people. There's a lot of things going on in the team now and I feel the energy. There's a lot of people coming into the technical department, a new factory, a new wind tunnel and a new driver, lots of new things and I can't wait to start driving."
After finishing 7th in last years constructors championship, Aston Martin will have their eyes set on a better position this year. With so much investment, Lawrence Stroll will also be keen to see the team performing better.
Lance Stroll said: "We want to be competitive, we improved a lot throughout the season. We started in a very difficult place but we made a lot of progress and by the end of the year we were in a position to score points consistently".
"Coming into this year it's very exciting for everyone. This car is completely different, a lot of work over the winter has gone into building this car, a lot of new ideas, and new people on top of this. I think it's a really exciting time for the team and I can't wait to get out on track and behind the wheel."
The AM23 will be having a shakedown at Silverstone in the next few days before hitting the track for pre-season testing in Bahrain on February 23rd - 25th.
